The Interstate Traveler Hydrogen Super Highway

The Interstate Traveler Hydrogen Super Highway (the Traveler) is a
self-sustaining, self-contained, self-optimizing, modular, reconfigurable, and
interconnectable elevated public/private transit and municipal infrastructure
network invented by Justin Eric Sutton under development by the Interstate
Traveler Company, LLC.
The Traveler is being developed for the expressed purpose of upgrading the
entire existing US Interstate Highway System to provide a quieter, cleaner,
safer, faster, cheaper and more efficient national transportation network to be
continually expanded onto hundreds of thousands of miles of rail-road
rights-of-way and other road ways. Further, the system is scalable for local
inter-urban and just-in-time-delivery systems for commercial production
facilities. This modular system will form a transportation and municipal
infrastructure web across the United States, and eventually every nation in the
world as an emerging standard.
The Traveler operates as a public/private infrastructure network allowing the
general public, civil and commercial entities to own and operate custom built
transit vehicles the network. The integration with the Interstate Highway
network includes the construction of easy-access “Traveler Stations” built
inside of the cloverleaf’s at every Interstate interchange to facilitate access
by the greatest number of people, vehicles and commercial services without
having to purchase any additional lands. All existing “Park and Ride” facilities
adjacent to Traveler Stations will be upgraded to support pedestrians and
vehicular transit, as well as terminal support for the major parcel carriers.
The Traveler is self powered primarily from solar cells mounted on the top of
the central support of the rail where the solar power is dedicated to the
creation and storage of hydrogen and oxygen via the electrolysis of water. The
Hydrogen will be used in fuel cells, internal combustion engines, micro turbines
and other energy conversion devices to generate power to operate all subsystems
24/7, including the full operation of a minimum of three (3) transit vehicles
per mile while generating an abundant surplus of energy. A 1000 mile rail system
will self-sustain 3000 transit vehicles 24/7. Likewise, the 54,000 miles of the
Eisenhower will support 162,000 vehicles, with virtually unlimited growth
potential including all other rights of way.
The central support of the ITC rail contains an armor plated conduit cluster
which enables all communications, distribution and load balancing systems for a
multitude of redundant utility conduit networks connected to utility substations
at regular intervals that enable the entire system as a whole in concert, or
individually, should any number of the utility substations be attacked and
disabled. The entire system runs in real-time via an embedded fiber optics using
an Internet styled communications, routing and addressing system.
For commercial, civil and homeland security, the Traveler creates a never ending
solar powered process of water purification, sewerage mitigation, shipping,
public transit, communications, energy production/storage and distribution. As
sustainable development is paramount to the future of mankind, we believe the
Traveler to be a perfect solution to this problem.
